Bachmann Class 47 And 57 Sound Fitting Guide
Start by removing the 6 body screws, there are 8 screws on some class 57's with delner couplings on the cab ends. Once the screws are removed, the cab door glazing is still clipped to the chassis, use a prising tool to release the clips without the windows falling out. once inside you'll find plenty of space for a pair of 20x20x7 megabass speakers. These fit with no modifications, and they fit under the fans, theres no need to remove them. Find the decoder and speakers here: Class 47/0, Class 47/4 (and all ETH versions), Class 57
Sound Fitting The 21 or 8 Pin Bachmann Class 20
These are amongst the easiest models to sound fit, theres slightly more space in the 21 pin model than the 8 pin one. Start by removing one screw from each end to remove the body For the 21 pin model we recommend the slimmest double iPhone speaker For the 8 pin model we recommend the 26x11x7 speaker Find the decoders and speakers here.

Theres space for a speaker on top of the pcb, it doesn't have to sit right at the end like it does on the recent 8 pin ones. There would also...
Fitting Sound To The Hornby HST
This is how we usually fit sound and a Megabass speaker to the HST. Start by removing the body. There are 4 screws and the back of the body lifts off first so it can be slid over the nose. The new 21 pin models come with a speaker at the back of the power car. This speaker is glued to the cab floor but can easily be prised off. Unsolder the wires and connect them to the new speaker. Cut the lugs off the speaker. Use either a cutting disk on a mini drill or use a pair of...
